Premiering a piece for 8-channel audio at High Zero’s scaled-down 2021 edition of the “Diffusion” festival. The hour-long program of surround sound pieces also includes works by Tom Boram, MC Schmidt, Jeff Carey, and Matmos. It repeats twice a night over three nights to limited audiences.
The piece is composed of field recordings made in southern Honduras in 2013, revolving around the remote community of Guanacaste’s access to clean water. I performed the original version of this piece in Paris in 2014.
